Access to Parallel Port under Windows 2000 using VB5 Pro

Is it possible to access the parallel port under Windows 2000? This is to control simple robotics projects such as Traffic Lights, Mini Boom Gates etc, not for printing purposes.

I'd prefer a free solution if there is one!

Search the web for a dll called inpout32.zip. It gives you
the dll and instructions.
