Hi all I'm a newbie on Meridian,
I have a problem with Merdian mail on an option 11.
After last logoff from Mail with CTRL + ], when I type ax 8,
the system doesn't load the Meridian Mail screen logon.
I have:

>ax 8
TTY 01 SCH MTC BUG CTY 12:40
OVL111 IDLE 0

For what reason ?
How can I access the Mail ?

Thanks in advance.

Cinanza

Try "ax" without the 8

Also, try

>LD 48

.stat aml

I think that might reveal something

Looks like you are not logged into the Option 11.
You will need to log into the Option 11 before you can enter ax.

This is the response of AML.

AML: 07 ESDI: 07 DES: Mail
LYR2: CONNECTED LYR7: ACTIVE EMPTY

Well, I think Stanley had the answer

Good observation? Log in to the PBX first, then do AX

Doesn't function however. Is it possible that is there
a pending session ?

If you're logged into the PBX and type "ax" and get an OVL error, then yes it is probably already established on another TTY port.

Your first post - you were not logged into the PBX.

Now that you are logged into the PBX, try the "Ctrl-R" key combo after you AX in.

And if that doesn't work, post the error you get when entering AX after getting logged into the PBX.

IF you can log into the PABX, go to LD 37

here do a STAT TTY

If tty 8 is enabled, it means that there ia "another tty" that is accessing mail. The common one here is when a customer has OTM / MAT and do not log off correctly.

Given that you are using TTY 0 (the maintenance port) disable / re-enable the other ttys (1, 2 etc), and eventually the mail tty (8) will go back to its normal disabled state. At that point you can AX into it.

Thank you all, teks-tips is useful than Nortel site.
