A very strange problem is occuring with random ME machines in that if someone tries to log on they get an error

"the domain password you supplied or access to the log on server has been denied"

and the user cannot access the machine (even though the password is not locked or expired). If you then try and log in as administrator you still get the same error.

If you then reboot the machine then the administrators username has been returned to the original log in name - whereas it should remember the last username that was entered.

I have checked the cables by logging on with an XP laptop and all is OK.

Does anyone have any ideas on why this error is occuring?

What kind of server? Have you looked to see if policys have been defined?

Matt J.

P.S. Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
