Access to Excel

I am trying to build an Excel front end package that will pull data from access. This is fairly easy when I am pulling the data from tables and some queries. The problem I get is when I try to extract from a query that has "from_date/to_date" it blows out. Is there any way to get external data and have a dialog box for from_date/to_date to appear in Excel and pull from the query..

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you using the MS Query within the MS Excel? If so, you can you write your SQL and give it a parameter in the criteria area. Upon selecting "Refresh Data" it will prompt you for the Start Date and End Date (04-JUN-2003 - format).

example:

SettlementDate >= [Start Date:]
SettlementDate <= [End Date:]
