The company I work for currently uses a ROLM CBX and it has a feature call DISA or Direct Inward System Access. for those not familiar with Rolm or this software feature, it in short, answers a call on a specific trunk, the caller then enters a numeric code if entered correctly will then provide dial tone from the switch allowing the caller to make internal and external calls. My question is this, can CCM be configured to do such a thing? Is it feature and if so what does Cisco call it? Does it have to be a separate trunk?

Thanks for both of your replies. What I want to do is be able to call from an outside line to a number that terminates in the CM which will be auto answered and waits for a access code. If the access code is entered correctly, it gives me dial tone just as if I just lifted the handset on a IP phone in the office. Anything dialed after that then follows the route patterns put in place. Unity isn't an option in this scenario.

You could setup an unused DID number in a translation pattern or unused DID in a CTI route point that you could call into and then use FAC.
