After the first of several fields is populated, the sub form saves the record and skips to the next blank record.
The tab stops are set correctly. The sub form acts like there is only one field to be populated. Since I am not allowing edits I can't go back and populate remaining fields. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I think the subform has the PARENT (linking) field in it, when it should probably have the CHILD (linked) field in it. You can keep the parent guy there, but make him invisible.

Are these blank records you're putting in showing up on the ONE side of the relationship?

The linking fields are ok. Am not adding blank records, the form skips to a new record as if I did want begin a new record before I have a chance to finish the current record.
The problem seems to be associated with the key field text box on the main form. The control source is set to the selected value of a combo box on a prior form. I am opening a form to a specific record whose value was selected in a combo box. It works except for the problem I am having with the sub form.
Thanks.
