I am installing applications using the package and deployment wizard to generate the setup. This setup includes Access Runtime and System Files (but not IE5). This works fine some of the time but on some PCs the Access Runtime does not get installed or registered, even though setup says that everything has completed satisfactorily. This error occurs on Windows NT machines, although the setup works properly in NT sometimes.

Has anyone experienced this?

I have exactly the same problem using xp Developer. I installed the Service Release 1 because the install wouldn't get anywhere. Then as you say it installs, seems to create the run time directories but no files there. Have you made any progress?

I have discovered that on NT machines the installation of Service Pack 6 seems to get round this problem. Why this is I've no idea. So far I've had no problems installing on Windows 2000.
