I finally got a report my boss likes to see. I have a report within a report. one report uses Microsoft graph to show 11 different items with the cost amount shown. the second report is the written output of the graph. Since these reports are for a given date range it is prompting twice for the date range. So my question is, can I activate both reports with one date range key in?

I am activating the report with the switchboard
Thanks in advance

Let me try again I think I messed up my date form.
I will post back
Thanks! I know we are getting closer.

I am back:

I have the Date form built and changed the querys that runs my reports I typed in date and hit the cmd button and I have header and footer ...no chart or data.

Post back the SQL for your query. Are you sure you have the names of the form and text boxes right?

I got it!!....who hooo....I had to cheat a little...I found a premade date select form on the web....edit to fit my needs ....thanks Remou for everything....U stuck with me till the end

You are welcome. It would be nice to post the link to the website where you found the form for any other readers of the thread.

I have another question I tried searching on this but I do not know if the key words are not getting any hits are what...But what I was wondering, is there a way for a keyed in input show up on a report ?...Example if You key the date in from 01/01/2006 to 12/30/2006...can that key in text show up on my report somewhere?....TIA

pass query parameters to a report?
thread702-1307188

Thanks Remou for you reply again...not sure what U are saying. I will look into searching about that..thanks

Did you look at the thread? It shows how you can include the dates keyed-in on a report. In your case, these dates are on a form, so it is even easier. A text box on the report with:

=Forms!frmForm!StartDate

Will work.

No I am very Sorry Remou....still getting used to the the forums and I missed the link....however I searched on pass query parameters to a report and combos thereof....Thanks to You! and here's what I put in a text box in my header section and it worked great.

="From" & Forms!frmReports!txtdatefrom &"to"& Forms!frmReports!txtDateTo

Thanks again...It was easier then what started this thread...because of what I learned about making the form.

Thanks Again.
