access report dynamic rollup

Hello,

I am trying to create report where each ID can have 1 to 10 designators. Each designator has a small report required. I tried a single report with all 10 and it is 4 pages long. If an ID has only 3 designators can a report be created to print only the 3 needed on one page? Sort of a rollup where the un-needed parts of the report do not print. Sub-reports need a single page for each. Can these be rolled onto a single page?

Member A has 3 out of 10 possible memberships. The report needs to show the 3 levels member A has. Then member B, C and so forth with each corresponding membership. Each membership needs 4-6 inches of space on the report. Is this better?

Are the levels in a subreport or part of the main report record source?

Are levels the same as memberships?

Are there sections and controls that are set to Can Shrink?

Yes, each membership level is currently in a seperate subreport.

To better understand;

smith - Pool
gym
tennis

Jones - Pool
tennis
golf
beach

Then each, such as pool, will have a number of questions. Mr Jones can not have questions for gym on his report.

Hope this help clarify. I will check on the shrink setting.

So, is Pool the same "level" as gym, tennis, golf, and beach or is it something else?

Perhaps attribute would descirbe better than level. Driven from the member table there are 10 attribute boolean fields (t/f). With each attribute having its own subreport. I don't want a seperate page for each subreport so this may be be the best way to set it up.

If I understand, you have a main report record source that contains 10 boolean fields and there are separate subreports that relate to each of these. If a boolean field is false, you don't want to display the subreport.

If you don't want separate pages for each subreport, you shouldn't add page breaks.

You can add some code in the On Format event of the main report section containing the subreports like:

   Me.srptTennis.Visible = Me.chkTennis = -1
