I'm a new access user. I'm working with a query someone else designed. Can anyone tell me what this would mean?:

Expr1: [PLACES].ZIP

One of the tables linked in the query is PLACES but it's not zipped. There are no parameters in that section of the query. When I attempt to run it access promts for what parameters I would like for places.zip.

Any help would be appreciated.

ZIP is probably the zip code field in your table called places?

Or ZIP was a field in the table but the field was re-named to something else and the query was not modified to reflect the new name. Or worse yet, the ZIP column was deleted from the PLACES table.

Look around. There should be some column with a name like ZIPCODE or ZIPPLUS4. Let us know what you find.

I agree with Zathras. With the information given, it sounds like it referencing a field in the Places table. I would start my search there.

Would it help to go to TOOLS/ANALYZE/DOCUMENTOR and then look for "ZIP"?
