I am exporting a query to a comma delimited text file, but I need to keep the decimal places. I have the field in the query defined as fixed 2 decimal places. I can't change the table because it is a linked table. When I export it does not keep the right most zeros. (40.00 = 40) The query displays correctly.

Instead of just plopping the field directly into the query, put
Expr: Format([yourtablename]![yourfield],"00.00")

which will be interpreted as a text string, thus the formatting is preserved.

Thank you for your help, it did work. I had trouble changing the export specs because when I export manually it gives me the too few parameters mesg, but when I export by macro it works. But I finally was able to fool it and get to the specs.
