Access migration to Oracle

Hi, I am a student who has studied MS Access for 3 years and consider myself adequate in the field of conceptual relational data modelling and implementation.
However, everywhere I look they are crying our for experienced Oracle professionals.
My question: Is the transition straight forward?
What is the best way to go about this?
