Hello,

We are experimenting with adding the VPN portion of our windows 2003 server. We have things setup but the issue that we have noticed is that when we connect to the VPN we loose connection to the internet or at least are not able to browse. Is there a setting with 2003 server that will allow a person who VPN's in to access the internet as well?

On a side note, was curious if its possible to establish a permament connection via vpn between our two branches so we can see both networks? Just curious.

Thanks

Found the answer - thought I would post it in case anyone else runs across it. The only thing I am still curious about is setting up two 2003 servers via VPN to talk and share the network but im happy with what ive found so far.

For Windows XP:
Click Start -> Control Panel
Click on the Network and Internet Connections icon and then click "Network Connections". If your Control Panel is in classic view, simply double click the "Network Connections" icon.
Right click on the new VPN connection and select Properties
Select the "Networking" tab
Verify that Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is highlighted
Click on the Properties button
Within the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) properties window, click on the "Advanced..." button. Within the Advanced TCP/IP Settings window, REMOVE the check mark next to Use default gateway on remote network
Click "OK" to close all open windows

Thanks
Blue
