I am trying to use access to keep track of transactions in a store. I want to import a few text files into access without the user having to go through all of the steps in order to do this, in case they might screw it up. Is there any way to accomplish this?

Maybe try a macro? The TransferText function is available in Access97 macros (my version!) which should do what you want. You'll need to specify the target text file name, the target table and a few other things. Once you've saved your macro you can drag it up onto a toolbar and right-click it twice to customise its button image. It will then be available to your users at all times.

Badly.
