For some reason Access is hanging now (not responding) when I try to create a MDE file. It worked on the same database about 3 days ago but now it wont. I have updated the database since then but I wouldn't think that should make a difference. Any thoughts??

Did you compile the code after changes has been made?
VBA WINDOW > DEBUG > COMPILE <DBNAME>
this will bring out most of the errors in the code. also to check the changes that you made

Yes I have compiled it but I dont get any feedback. Is that a good thing? No lines light up yellow like they have an error.

Thats strange, I guess you need to compile the code before you make the mde. It made the MDE just fine now. I didn't have to change any code but apparently Access wanted to know the code was compiled before it made the MDE. I have never had to do that in the past... strange. Thanks for the help lupins46 and ZmrAbdulla!

Well you shouldn't have to compile before creating an mde because Access compiles as part of the mde process.
But it's always worth checking if there are problems with mde creation.
