can you use an access form swith a SQL database?
thanks in advance for your input

Jon

If the database is accessible through Access and you can add/delete data directly into the tables then you can use Access forms as a front end. Joe Miller

Yes, quite easily.
1) Setup an ODBC connection to you SQL Database. Be sure to configure your client connection with TCP/IP - it will usually default to NetBIOS. There are a few threads here that detail the steps - otherwise let me know.

2) In Access - select File, Get External Data, Link Tables,
then select Files of Data Type = ODBC databases() and your SQL database name will appear here - Select the proper Database (configured in 1- above) and OK - there are your SSQL Tables.

Takes a little practice - but it works great,
