Access files outside inetpub

hi all, writing a system for a mate in asp but found they store their image files in a foloder on the c drive not in inetpub/

http://wwwroot/myWebFolder....

they've got loads of photos (hundreds) there and would reather leave them where they are.... they've got an imaging system that creates all of the paths for them etc... so i need to find a way of bringing them through to my web page... thought i'd simply reference the c:/folder/file.png but alas it doesn't want to be that simple!!!

any ideas???

create a virtual directory in IIS and you can reference that relative to the root of the website.
