In all seriousness, sounds like your COR for the extension doesn't have the permissions to dial long distance.

If you have another extension that can dial long distance then compare their COR with the one that isn't working,

I have compared the Mitel 5330 settings with my office phone settings and they match perfectly but the ACCESS DENIED continue to appear when trying to make long distance calls. Thanks for the valid responsez @sarond!

Access Denied" is always a restriction issue. Check COR and Interconnect, make sure you're allowed to dial the number you're trying to dial.
