The only search and FAQ that I could find on this dealt with other issues or compiling your own DLL. Those don't fit here...

I'm getting it on the statement
"Set rdoEn = rdoEnvironments(0)"
which is straight from the MSDN online example code snippet. I've done this several times at a previous job, but this is my first DB project under XP so is there some problem with this? MS RDO 2 is set up as reference for project.

The other possible factor is that we are running a Novell net with mixed Novell and W2K servers (?)

I would believe that, but I'm logged in as admin on my PC. Our Novell net is where we are authenticated. Do I need to be higher in my security for the LAN?

I'm assuming that the statement - "but I'm logged in as
admin on my PC" - means you were authenticated on the lan
and not just locally on your PC.

Anyway, since I don't work in a Novell/Windows environment,
I'm unsure of the ramifications of that.

Thanks, Darrell, but I had looked at that. I'm not writing a DLL, just a standad EXE prog.
