Has anyone tried to access the Definity through HyperTerminal with any success?? If so, how did you do it?

Joel

You can do it but it doesn't have the use of the function keys. However you you can use escape sequences.

Cancel escOP
Refresh escOQ
Enter escOR
Clear Field escOS
Help escOT
Choices escOU
Next Page escOV
Prev Page escOW

This should allow you to use hyperterminal it is really anoying using the escape sequences though. ENJOY!!!

Thank You Colby007, I'll try this out. Guess I'll have to carry around a cheat sheet.

Joel

If you log in with the VT220 terminal setting, you can use the Page Up and Page Down buttons as I recall. I think that the arrow keys work as well. Set your Hyperterminal for VT100 emulation.

Escape sequences for the VT220 emulation are:
Code:
	Help Esc[28~
	Previous Page Esc[5~
	Next Page Esc[6~
	Cancel Esc[3~
	Execute Esc[29~
	Previous Field Esc[31~
	Next Field Esc[32~
	Clear Field Esc[33~
	Refresh Esc[34~
	Next Form Esc[4~
	Up Arrow Esc[A
	Down Arrow Esc[B
	Right Arrow Esc[C
	Left Arrow Esc[D
	Update Form Esc[1~

Hello,

How would I go about typing these in?

Joel

Hello joel not sure about the VT200 escape sequences but for the 4410 sequences just hit escapeand then the letters corresponding to the command you want. Not sure about if they have to be in CAPS or not been a long time since I used them.

Hi Guys,

If you go ahead and use 4410 emulation, you should be OK. What I find best is to use ASA and then use terminal emulation (they seem to have the key settings all done up correctly) but if you can't get ahold of ASA, then any terminal emulation program should work fine if it has tektronix 4410.

I used hyperterminal a few times here are the settings

bps - 9600
db - 8
pa - no
sb- 1
fc - xon

chose your com port also once your in chose your terminal type
