Can anyone please help

I have recently completed the development of my Access DB and would like to load on sharepoint so it is accessible to a number of users but really not sure how to do this (being a novice)
I've searched the internet and there seems to be lots of confusing information and now not sure if I should split table (not sure how you do this) or place the whole application on sharepoint. I also have make table queries in my DB and not sure how they would work
These are just a few questions
If you see this could you point me in the right direction perhaps to a good website tutorial of some description
Pretty much any advice would be useful at this stage

Also, is this approach likely to have many problems or is it easy to do

As you see I haven't got much of a clue really so any help would be appreciated

Thanks

What version of Access. If it is not 2010 and if sharepoint doesn't have the appropriate services turned on, I believe the most functionality you will get is a linked table.

Many thanks

I have Access 2003

I have tried to upload the access db to my sharepoint site but get the message that sharepoint will only upload files with approved extensions

If I have to set up linked tables will it still work

Thanks

Uploading an Access file to share point has no real value to anyone. Others might be able to download and open it but you aren't adding value by this.

Why even use sharepoint? You can copy the back-end file to a network share and deploy the front-end file to each user.

Thanks

Unfortunately my organisation will not allow a network share which is the reason I am trying to run this from a sharepoint site

Thanks for your help so far

I have now created lists on my sharepoint site by exporting them and then linked the tables. I now have issues with my main table / form as well as others as although the linking seems to work fine I have problems with autonumbers

My main table / list (now in sharepoint)does not create an autonumber and because of this my subforms (of which there are 9) on my main form do not work as the record is immediately deleted as soon as one is chosen. I have found that there is now no autonumber on my new record generated as the list in sharepoint does not generate an autonumber. If there is a way I cannot find it at the moment

Is it the fact that I am missing something or need to find a way to create an autonumber in the sharepoint list
or link the subforms (and any other queries) using different criteria
