Hi,
I am in the process of writing some Access applications on an old Tablet PC that only has a 100mhz processor on it running windows 95' with limited memory (32Meg Ram). I don't beleive that the memory limitations will allow upgrading to Windows 98" , XP, or W2K so I am stuck with the older technology. My question is : Are tables, queues, forms, reports, pages, etc.. written in Access 97' in Windows 95' compatible with Access 2000' in a Windows 2K or Windows 98' OS?
Thanks,
Carlos Blanco

Applications written in an older system are generally always upgradeable to the next generation. You may run into problems taking three or more geneerational steps.

Creating a database within Access '97 won't cause any major problems when opening/using the file in Access 98, or 2000. You'll be prompted at the opening of the file to convert the '97 file into the current '98/2K format. Everything should transfer over okay, the only problems I can see is if you have any backend VBA stuff running that may reference older Library files not available on the "newer" computers/OS's. Just my 2 cents. Enjoy my product! hahahaa :p :) :-D
