Hi,

I'm currently working on a relatively simple database in Access 2007. I'd like to be able to create and save a query in the format of a form containing all of the fields from the primary table.

I suppose the question is whether or not I can change the design of a query so that it appears as a form, where some information can be entered into some fields,(perhaps even as an expression) and the database searched and selected on based on the criteria entered, even if some fields have been left empty. It seems like I'm looking for a user-friendly combination of a filter by form and parameter query in one.

Thanks for your help and being new here, I'm compelled to acknowledge my noobishness. I'm not worthy!!

So what you are asking is if you can design a form that allows the user to create the query on the fly?

I use the query by form applet in almost every application I create. I have modified my original to add more functionality. The download contains a few tables and forms that you import into your application. Users can then design ad-hoc query/reports. Results are a few clicks from sending to Excel or several other formats.
