I am developing an old 2000 database in Access 2003 which has references to the Microsoft 9.0 Object Libraries for Word, Excel etc.

The database is run on access 2000 but as I am developing it in 2003, every time I edit some code, the object references change to the Office 11.0 object library and cannot be run on the access 2000 PCs.

Is there a way that I can stop access 2003 from changing the references or can I include both?

Is it easy to add references in code when the database boots up?

You may also avoid references issues with late binding.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Hi

I had a similar issue, I solved it by copying the Office 9 DLL onto the machine, then setting the reference to Office 9 rather than Office 11, but only for that project. Still works fine. And does not default back to 11.

Cheers

Barney

Thanks Barney, That sounds like exactly what I need.
