Access 2002 import

I am trying to import an old .dbf file into access 2002. 95% of the files have import successfully; however a random few come up with this message, "invalid field definition '*' in definition of index or relationship.

Any ideas??

First off bring it into a virgin new table so you haven't got any indexes, 'relationships' or other clutter to trip you up.
