I have developed a Front End application using Access 2002 with a Jet 4 backend .mdb. The size of the FEnd is abt 2Meg while the BEnd is abt 1 Meg. The program works very fast and is very stable in XP Window. However in an Win98 environment (around 120Meg RAM), it frequently displayed the green screen alerting Critical Fault with details showing either GDI.EXE, Kernel or USER.EXE.
In case of MsAccess having problems with GDI.EXE a reboot plus a fresh copy of the application is required while the other two can be run again with any reboot.
Also for the GDI problem because if occur at the splash screen, I recreate the splash form and from then the GDI problem stopped.
The application in Win98 use the following libraries: ADO v2.5, ADO RecordSet v2.5, Office v10.0 DAO 3.6 besides Acces v10.0.
Appreciate any views as there is no solution after tinkering all options. Thanks in Advance.
Cheers!

Hi fuzmic,

Do not have a lot of expirience in Access, but try distributing a copy of mdb or mde thatweas actually compiled in win98 environment. I have a feeling it might help.

bset regards!

Thanks ZoDra
The original .MBD are recompiled in win98 enviroment and then made into a .MDE file all the time yet problems is unabated.
Best Regards
