Could you be a bit more specific?
If I create a query just to get the SQL staement, copy the statement and close, Access will ask me to save. If I decline, the query won't be saved just as I want it.
Where does this issue occur? Don't you have any choice whether to save or not?

This seems to happen intermitently. For example, I can create a query and may decide I do not wish to save it. Closng the query gives me the save dialogue box. I am unable to cancel this and am forced to enter a query name and save it. Also, if I open an existing query and make changes, closing the query saves the changes without asking whether I want to or not. This also happens with forms and reports, if I make changes Access saves the changes whether I want to save them or not.
your are not alone. I have the same problem and it is a nuisance. I have a client who has noticed this problem only when working with my package, so what ever it is, it travels.
