Recently installed Access 2000 from the Office 2000 Premium CD.

I am linking tables from a FoxPro Database. I am able to view the tables.
When I try to run a Query on two tables I get the following error:

Could not execute query; could not find linked table
[Microsoft] [ODBC Visual Fox Pro Driver]F (#173)

As soon as I remove one of the tables from the query, the query runs....

MS no longer aupports direct linking to FOXPRO tables. You will have to use ODBC to access FOXPRO tables. Robert Berman

I'm using Access 2002 and am trying to link to Foxpro 2.6 tables using the Dbase III link. It works. But when I close the database and reopen it, the link no longer works. Any ideas why?

If you go under ODBC, you will find a connecting template for FoxPro. Robert Berman

"If you go under ODBC, you will find a connecting template for FoxPro."

But that's for Visual Foxpro. I need to connect to Foxpro 2.6.

I know what you are up against. The following is from MS and is not going to make you happy.

Access to FoxPro data through the Microsoft Jet database engine was provided in earlier versions of Microsoft Access and earlier versions of the Microsoft Jet database engine. However, with Access 2000, access to Microsoft FoxPro data is possible only through the Microsoft Visual FoxPro ODBC driver. Access to FoxPro data through the Microsoft Jet database engine is no longer supported.
