G'day!

I have a user on Windows 2000 SP4 getting the following error when he tries to run reports in an Access 2000 database:

"Collating sequence not supported by the operating system."

I looked this up on Microsoft's KBase and they're resolution is to configure multilanguage support to include the language in which the database was developed. The database was developed in English and that is the default language on the user's PC.

The reports run perfectly fine while logged on with an administrator account. The other users who run reports from this database have no problems.

I resintalled Office 2K and service packs twice to no avail.

Any ideas?

Try setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Jet\3.5\Engines\Paradox key, and select the CollatingSequence value;(3.5 may even be 4.0)and set it to ascii

Please back up your registry before attempting this.

Sorry, don't have any more answers.

Is access the only application running at the time?

Are you running any code or query in the db?
