I looking from a way to deploy the reports of my client through internet.

Is MSTR Web secure to deploy my reports to internet?
How I can increase the security level to my Reports?
Do you know "the best" practice to do this?

thanks a lot.

i would suggest you register to take their training classes. All your questions are covered there.

This forum is probably best used if you have specific technical issues and not generic probing questions.

Hi cabs!!!

No, it is not totally secure to display them through the internet. I have at least good one reason for that.

In fact, Microstrategy does have a strong secure code protection, however, it doesn't have a feature to create a secure policy to make the users to "create strong passwords".

In other words, once the users are given a chance to change their passwords, they can put whatever they want.
For instance:
User: Michael -> Password: Michael (password is the same to his loggin)
User: Michael -> Password: 05121978 (his birth date)
User: Michael Hammer -> Password: MHammer

And... have you tried to put no password as your password??!?!? You bet! It is possible!

Moreover, Microstrategy doesn't block the users who tries to insert the password more then "x" times. Such things make bloody easy to any lammer use any Brute force method to steal some users password.

Well... this was how I decieved the security of my own Microstrategy project. LOL
;-P

(just testing of course hehehe)
