ac97 sound directx help

i had a previous post that i sent in about how my sound was late and only one speaker worked... well i got all the speakers working but when i play a game with directx the sound comes in late and the games cant find directsound3d supported so if you could help me than please post a helpful note. i have a amd 2200+ with 512 ddr400 mem, ati radeon 9700 pro azza kt400-alh with ac97 built in sound

Have you tried downloading new mobo drivers for the onboard ac97? that's the first thing I would try...
