Hipath 4000 v5,
AC win IP restarts as soon as incoming call is attempted to pick or outward call is initiated with a dialing code. But the alternative physical phone works fine.
the machine was restarted, the licenses were checked, the route, packet drop.. all checked.
Please advise. It is emergency

Ac Win IP in Hipath 4000... on receiving call or dialling out, just restarts.

We tried re-creating workspace, re installing licenses, removing even skype from the PC.

The headset works for other application.
the calls can be received well on alternate extensions though.

any OUT OF THE BOX SOLUTION?

I don't know what the problem could be but if it was me I would try another PC or reinstall the ACWIN software, or setup another Console and test with that ?

Aren't the licenses set to the MAC Address of the PC the software is running on? Wouldn't that preclude trying to run the software on another PC? Although I think there is a trial mode if I'm not mistaken, so it might be possible.

Have you done STA-HISTA to see if there are any console related error messages? I get these errors that show up every once in a while for my phones that say "loss of Layer 1 signalling" - during that time the phone will go Telephony Down for about 50 seconds and then the Layer 1 signalling is restored. I have not yet found whay that happens, but if it happens to the console it might cause it to abort.... If there is a log file for the CLA/CLM licensing application, does the log show any strange errors around the time it happens? I can't remember if there is some kind of log for AC-Win but I've never looked for one. I do think there is a way to put it in "Debug mode" though and maybe see some clues there.

There's no trial mode for AC-Win, license needs to be right from the start.

But for sure this error doesn't happen with a clean OS install followed by AC-Win. This problem should be easily solvable.

I had something similar once where I upgraded an AC-Win, which is allowed, but then I had an error like above, unusual. An uninstall of AC-Win, delete everything left behind, then a reinstall, fixed it.

Not really sure what the fault is, what does "AC-Win restarts" actually mean?

I would also make sure you have not configured the VFGR and ACSU as MQ, but installed the PC software as DQ, or vice versa.

You can change (temporarily) the MAC address of the temporary PC that you are installing the software on.
If it works then you can move the licences from one MAC to another MAC and delete the temporary MAC address.

Moriendi makes a good point there - can the original poster please REG-ACSU and DIS-VFGR and past here - thanks
