A couple of years ago I posted a help request on how to get DND/Absent text on the display of 37xx handsets.
Only thing I got was: Can't be done.

So I placed a GRIP with Avaya and somehow they got intrigued.
A while later some of you might have noticed that Extn#, Hunt Group/DND++ status suddenly appeared in the lower part of the display.
Only thing missing was some creativity with VMPro. (It got fairly complex.)

When a user access the absence menu and activate desired absence reason + time, it will be displayed on the handset, activate DND and appropriate reason for absence played to the caller.

If there's any interest, I'd be happy to write a manual, convert mod's & wav's into English and put it in the FAQ section.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Oh, for fox sake!

You are always welcome to write a FAQ and a lot of people will be gratefull, the only disadvantage of a FAQ is that you get little response so you will never know if it is appreciated and/or used.
I always read the new FAQs and some are really helpfull, even for the well informed as I consider myself.

Does this also work on the 3720 and 3725 handsets?
I would love to see that.
With the new mobile app you can give yourself a text on your phone so when you are called then the caller (internal ofcourse) sees the absent text.
I wonder if this works for these dect phones too.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Yes Peter, it works on 3720 and 3725, it was mainly because of the 3720's poor feature list I did all this.

Kind regards

Well, I didn't want to be rude, but R4 kind of covers all 37xx handsets:)
You've had too much vacation, I think.

Just realized that not everyone has the TTS lic, so I have to make some adjustments to the setup or else some prompts will be only in English (Speak Text-func for "date of return", etc).
