in crystal rider i have all my fields and when i look at them in Select Expert, every field i click on has more than one thing in that..

{@ACTIVE ACCOUNTS}and
{@ADDRESS} in ["Clearlake, CA 95422", "Kelseyville, CA 95451"]

and this is under the field of active accounts and my address. is this suppose to be like that? when i delete a poition of it, and put into the correct field, it just goes back with the other one. is this suppose to happen or be grouped?

You most likely have multiple tabs on your selet expert, Each of them adds another line of code.

Note that you did not supply your version of Crystal, so I cannot give you a guaranteed correct answer.

I do not know what you mean by "crystal rider" and "more than one field in that"

Having said that, I have not used the select expert in probably 10 years. Click on report, selection formula, record (or group) and manually create your formula. You hae much more control this way.

Did you mean Crystal Writer, which is meant to be Crystal Reports?

btw, where's Lakeport, CA??? (used to live in clearlake ;) )

As Don suggested, don't use the expert, edit it manually, it's more intuitive and more flexible.

Do you have an issue involved with this question beyond how the Crystal Record Selection Expert should look?

Is something not working as you expected?

oops yeah i meant to say reports. my boss says rider.

ok that makes sense. multi fields, more codes. yeah i delete it woops, and everything went away and then i used the edit field and it all came back hah

thanks for the input

lakeport, you mean Kelseyville. its past lakeport.

Well I was up on the hill in Nice, the other way from Lakeport ;)

Glad it worked out for you.
