about SOUND VOLUME icon in task bar???

Go to the Control Panel, Sound. There is an option somewhere in there for displaying the icon.

It's actually usually Control Panel >> Multimedia
on the Audio Tab, there's a checkbox for "show volume control in taskbar"....uncheck the box to disappear, put check in box to display in Systray (where the time is)
