Hi everyone, 3com switches is not my specialty, so here I go.
I configured the same (VLAN id 2 named Voice) on three different 3com switches (2948 baseline switches), but I dont know if this is correct. My confutions start just right here, because I know that creating and configuring a vlan on one switch it have to share the vlan configuration with the others switches. So, I doing testings between two switches (SIS 1 and SIS 2). On them, existing the configuration of the same vlan, but I dont know how can configure them using WEBui, I dont understand how can I create a port trunk between them. What kind of cable type I have to use between them? What About fiber link, I have to configure anything on it?

Other thing, I have a 2226 baseline switch attached on ADMIN 1 switch. How Can I configure this vlan on 2226 switch because this model doesnt have a ip on the switch tag like 2948 switches, and I cant identify any console port.

This is my topology:

I think you need to
- configure VLAN 2 on all 6 switches
- configure VLAN 2 on the router
- configure a VLAN 2 interface (default GW for VLAN 2) on the router
- configure all inter-switch and router-switch interfaces to have VLAN as a Tagged VLAN on each.

Thanks VinceWhirlwind, I consider it already, I have the configuration running on the switches individually, but are not implement it because the trunk configuration between the switches, I'm work on it.

On 3COMs, a "trunk" is an interface you have assigned one or more "tagged" VLANs to.

3COM do not support ISL, so .1q is the default format.

The 3COM 2226 baseline switch can only be configured via WEBUI it has NO console port. The manual covers how to assign an IP address to the device. If you don't have a manual, one can be downloaded from 3COM's website for free.
