Hello,

How can I choose the trunk for outgoing calls ? I think it is in COR parameters but I don't know where.

I have a lot of outgoing trunks and each department have to make outgoings calls with his trunk.

Thanks

You can use ARS to route outbound calls ofer the appropriate trunks. Are you familiar with ARS?

Using AAR/ARS routing for each individual department would be an administrative nightmare. You would be better off using tenant partitioning on the switch.

Hi Ricadri,

Manfmmd is right - I did not read it as each dept wanting their own trunk.

Hi,

ok, but if tenant partitioning are the best way to fetch COR with an ougoing trunk, how I use it ?

I have actually a lot of CORs, and outgoing calls use differents trunks depending on this CORs, but I want to change the trunk assiciated with one COR.

We also use Partition Groups and Partition route tables so that our remote G700 offices dial out using their own ISDN30 instead of the main office ones - works a treat and save going down the TP route if no other functionality is required.
What software/version etc are you running.

Where can I see it ?

type the command "disp capacity" - the software version is on page 12.

Or "list config software

Ok - you should be able to use Partition groups then. Basically you assign the relevant group number in your COR and assign the CORs to you stations/agents etc. You can set the trunk group numbers that you wish to use on the partition route tables. Then on your ARS screen assign the partition route table number under "Route Pattern" eg p2 instead of an actual trunk.

So COR 1 could have Partition Group 2 and through the programming their calls will route via trunk grp1, and COR 2 could be routed via trunk grp2.

Not the best explanation but the admin guide is pretty useful for setting this up.

Ok,

Thanks a lot, I have found how to do it.

But what append when we have two Groups in a route pattern whith the same FRL ?

Unfortunately I've never really got to grip with FRL as we don't really use them - all the restriction setting I use are based on the toll lists etc.
