I HAVE A OPC. 61C WORKING ONLY WITH A CPU (CORE) AND THE ANOTHER ONLY IS DSBL, I TRIED TO PUT IN REDUNDANCE BUT I CAN´T DO IT, TELL ME THE SYSTEM THAT IS SPLIT MODE, AND CAN´T TO DO IT REDUNDANCE

>LD 137

CIOD000
.STAT

IOP 0 ENABLED (ACTIVE) IODUC
IOP 1 ENABLED (STANDBY: S/W STATUS) IOP\CMDU
CMDU 0 ENABLED (ACTIVE)
CMDU 1 DISABLED (In Split Mode)
RDUN DISABLED
ELNK ENABLED
SDEV 0 OK (KC VALID)
.****
>LD 135

CCED000
.STAT CPU

cp 0 15 PASS NORMAL ENBL

cp simm/bank stat
0 0/0 ENBL
0 1/0 ENBL
0 2/0 ENBL

cp 1 15 DSBL: 'NOT RESPONDING'

WHAT I NEED TO DO FOR ACTIVATE THE REDUNDANCE?

THANKS

Put the Meridian properly into split mode:

1. Set norm/maint switch to maint on CPU 0
2. Set norm/maint switch to maint on CPU 1
3. Disable the CNI on CPU 1
4. On CPU 1: press man rst button on CPU
(watch the LCD display on the CPU and when you see sys700)
5. Restore CPU 1 mtce/norm switch to norm

On the tty you should now see....."memory sync begun"

When you see sync mem complete:

6. Restore maint/norm switch on CPU 0 to norm
7. Enable the CNI on CPU 1
8. LD 137 type stat, then type sync

Both CMDU's should be enabled and redundancy should be enabled

Step 2 must be step 3 and step 3 must be 2!!!!

First disable the CNI and after that set the second core to maint.

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

I DID THE SOLUTION OF ABOVE BUT I DON GET REDUNDANCE.

IN MY CORE 1 I HAVE CP WITH THE LED IN ON AND CMDU WITH LED EN OFF

IN MY CORE 0 AND CMDU 0 LEDS ARE OFF

OTHER IDEA?

If I remember correct there is no on/off switch on the CP card and if it's in the switch it should be off. If the led is on there's probably something wrong with the card.

Remove the card and put it back in. If the led is still on get a new cp card

I WAS CHECKING MY SYSTEM AND I SAW THAT MY MODULE OF CORE 1 IN THE BACKPLANE BESIDE CNI CARD IS A LED STILL ON WHY?

The LED on the backplane is supposed to be on in core 1. That led is to identify Core 1

I WAS SEEING MY CARD CP NT5D03EA (CP68060E/112 MB) THE LED ON BOARD IS STILL ON , HOW I CAN TURN OFF THIS LED THAT IS IN MY CORE THAT NOT IS WORKING. I TRIED TO FOUND INFORMATION ABOUT THIS CARD IN MY NTPS AND I DON´T FOUND IT.

Put the switch in split mode, and connect you laptop/pc to the CP tty on the back of core 1. MAN RST the faulty CP and see if you get any errors.

If I remember correct the CP TTY's are J21 and J25, they are on the left side on the I/O pannels, and are DB25 female connectors. 1 is a DTE and the other is a DCE port. The bottum one should be the DCE.

in my cp 1 the split mode was to put of norm to mant?

yes BUT!!!!
follow the procedure of Crowd36

i had trying the procedure of Crowd36 and don{t get restore my system. Only work cp 0, the cp 1 no show me nothing in the lcd, and in my TTY's J21 and J25 no happend nothing, in this same of cp 0 i get connection but in cp 1 no. another idea?

Make sure all the switches are in NORM, the CNI cards are enabled and the CMDU's olso are enabled. Then just give the system a sysload after working hours.

If the red led is still on on CMDU 1 after the sysload you log into the PABX.

Go to overlay 137 and give the command 'ENL CMDU 1'. If you ask the meridian the status in overlay 137 it properly says the cmdu 1 is not in sync. Now you must give the command SYNC (the M1 will ask you if your sure. So press Y). At this moment the active CMDU will copy his content to the inactive CMDU. After this your RDUN will be enabled.

If this doen't help your CMDU 1 is properly brocken.

Good Luck!!

NB there are 2 kinds of split mode. Hardware and software.....

JACCODO

I DID YOUR SOLUTION AND GIVE ONLY THE NEXT:

>LD 137
CIOD000
.ENL CMDU 1

CIOD012 1: No access to CMDU 1 due to split mode
.

I DON´T GET THE REDUNDANCE, I CHANGED THE CMDU´S FROM CORE 1 TO CORE O AND ANSWER WELL, I CHANGED THE CP1 TO CORE 0 AND NO ANSWER.

AS aready mentioned - are both CNIs enabled, and are both CPUs in normal?

Also post the status of CPs - which one is active

Post the status of IOPs and CMDUs - which ones are enlable active

ok, ACTUALLY MY PBX IS SO:

CORE 1

CNI ENABLED
CP 1 DISABLED
CMDU DISABLED

CORE O

CNI ENABLED
CP 0 ENABLED
CMDU ENABLED

NOW, I HAD TRYING TO PUT IN REDUNDANCE MY CP1 AND CMDU 1 BUT I DON´T GET IT, I CHECK THE SIMMS WITH LD 135 AND TEL ME THAT NO RESPONSE, TRYING DE SYNC IN LD 137 ONLY TELL ME ¨SPLIT MODE¨.

I suggest reloading software on side 1. Find the Book Software Conversion. There is a section to do a parrallel reload. Follow the steps to put in split mode (I know your system says you are but you need CNI 1 disabled and both CPs in maint). You will then connect terminal to j25 on Core 1. With the install disk in that matches your CP type, press the man rst button on CP1. From the install menu select a. Put in the key code disk when prompted and hit enter at all the prompts until you get back to the the same install menu then select quit and reboot.

Once it finishes rebooting follow the steps to complete and get drives in sync - enable CNI 1, press restart on CP1, when you see sys700 put CP1 back in norm. You should see a HWI sync begin message - wait until you see a sync complete.

then login and go to LD 137 and use SYNC command to return redundancy.
