About Kazaa and Getting rid of spywear...

Sorry I know i've asked this before but could someone give me instructions on how to get rid of spywear and the advertisments that pop-up that are likely caused by kazaa. Thanks!

Sorry to slightly disagree with madonnac, but I have demonstrated previously that SPYBOT is considerably better at ridding a PC of spyware/malware/scumware etc. There is now an update to SPYBOT which immunizes your browser (might just be IE - I'm not sure)against "ALL KNOWN BAD PRODUCTS".

If I were you I'd go to

http://www.kazaalite.com/

and download kazaa lite which has no spyware attached.
Remember to totally remove the previous version first.
I've had it for ages with no problems at all.

I agree with Crusty on spybot.
kAZAA is probably the cause of some problems with my sons DELL. definately get kazaalite if you like taking hours to download music. also you need to know what can be done if you do not know how to use this software, [guard your cd keys!]

Have to disagree with crustyoldbloke. I run both Ad-Aware 6.0 and Spybot. Each catches things the oter misses. Run both and keep them updated.
