Hi Ed, I wasn't sure how to reach you through this maze which is Tech-tips...so I wanted to get back in touch with you about the Dos disks I need for that old Amstrad portable I told you about. How can I get them? I need the Dos disk itself (I don't know if it will handle 4.01, I used an eaarlier verion. I'd like to have any type of software that I can run on it for demonstration purposes. When I first subscribed to the Internet (via Amstrad) it was text only. I also used LotusWorks, which I'd like to have. Let's talk. I have some old CD's that won't work on Vista, if interested. Thanks, Thom

If you use Dos, you can force format a 1.44 floppy to 720. I have done this many times when I had a PC that couldn't read a 1.44 floppy.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

You'll have to get the details off the profile.

Hello again Ed. You said to get the info from your profile, but I don't follow you. You said you had some old Dos programs on 720K disks. I would like to get my hands on some of them. What's next? Thom

See the underlined bold text edfair above. That's his username. Click on it to get his profile. You'll have to interpolate from there.

Found a glitch in the profile creation section. Hadn't noticed that the user name had truncated.
Oh , well.

Try again , Thom.
