No problem adding swap space. Use swap -a file_name on a Sun box. Do not forget to modify /etc/vfstab to reflect the addition. Too bad I.T. is not cash business

Luc,

I have added some swap space on unix as follows:

mkfile 2000M /swap2
swap -a /swap2

and everything is ok, to make this change permanent (after reboot) I need to add something in /etc/vfstab, not quite sure what needs to be added.

Can you please specify what needs to be added.

Thanks

This:

[tt]#device device mount FS fsck mount mount
#to mount to fsck point type pass at boot options
/swap2 - - swap - no -[/tt]

Of course the column headings are probably already there, no need to add them again!
