I am an electronics hobbyist and long-time lurker who has always loved playing with phones. I have installed and programmed Vodavi, AT&T (then Lucent, then Avaya), Nortel Meridian and more recently FreePBX. I use Aastra IP phones with FreePBX and they work well with it. I looked into their other products and found out they had an Asterisk based system called the Aastralink Pro 160. The reviews were kind of mixed. But the small box is full featured with 2 FXS ports, 6 FXO ports, contact closure, MOH and paging and suport for over 20 phones. I found one on ebay and offered a low ball amount because it was missing the power supply and Compact Flash card. Before I bought it I took a look at the manual and it stated that it could reformat a corrupt Compact Flash card in recovery mode, but missed the part where the firmware was necessary to do so. The Aastralink arrived and I can access it but I am stuck because I don't have the firmware. The Mitel site has all of the documents but it seems they have removed the firmware. The links on the Pro 160 are there but no longer work. Before I take my chances that Mitel will allow me access to the firmware I thought I might check here to see if someone might have a copy they could share. TIA, -bob
