I have several of these phones that have been dropped in my lap to test and I know very little other than they are connected to our option 11c mini somehow.
I am a Nostar Tech so I know that does not help me much on the option side but I am not totally green.
Is there any documentation out there I could use to help me better understand how to set these cordless phones up for testing. Thanks for any help.

Yes. Hey its frieday........
I have a base unit connected to a 2616 Digital port off my Meredian 1 PBX.
I think I am only missing the programming steps. I know Option Tech's are a rare breed but maybe this once give a lowly Norstar tech some guidance.

Program the same way as 2616, just copy one of the 2616 in the system. Use same feature and function as 2616 digital set.

I dont need a user manual. Are there not programming instructions for these phones?

They are very nice little phones. we use a few of them here.

I have two CM-16's and they seem to work great, but once a day I get a BUG4216 on both TN's associated with these phones. Does anyone else have this problem?

I haven't noticed that bug Khail, but I haven't been looking for it. I'll keep an eye out. My users love their CM-16's.

Norteldevil, what exactly are you needing to do? As others have said, these program just like a 2616 but I get the impression that you are needing more. It's hard to tell you general programming without knowing what you want to do with the phone - build one new? move one? Put it in an ACD group or a hunt group? Change the name on a key? Most of the commands for programming the phone itself are found in load 20 (but documented in load 11).

Don't be afraid to ask for what you want - there's plenty of folks here who can tell you everything you will ever want to know and are happy to do it but they gotta know what you need.

I would like to know how to make these phones work on my Meredian PBX. I have 1 in my office that rings any time my M2616 rings. I have a base Antenna Unit hooked up to a digital port. The LED on the left is solid green and the center 1 is blinking and the right one is not on.
I have doc's to get to this point but beyond I have none.
I would like to set the additional CM-16's to ring when a particular digital station rings.
Any additional info needed let me know.
Thanks.

Two things I see you can do.
One just unplug a current 2616 and plug the Aastra in. That Aastra is now the same as that phone.

If they want the desk phone still there.
Find an available 2616 TN. PRT the DN of the old one to find the TN
in LD 20 do a cpy 1. Copy the old TN to the new TN. You should then have a copy of the old phone.

Also look in the FAQ here there are a couple good ones there that deal exactly with what you are doing - scroll down to the input/output crash course and a couple others there.

And it might be a good idea to register with Nortel to get access to all their manuals in pdf format.

Also some great programming help here:
and Nortel's manuals arranged neatly here:
