I'm trying to configure these phone sets to work off of one rj45 jack.
I have the following:
Assuming vlan 11 for data and vlan 17 for voice
Using astericks + freepbx
HP Switch with vlan 11 untagged (native) and vlan 17 tagged
windows dhcp server for both voice and data

I am looking for a string to put into the dhcp server of the data segment so that when i plug a phone into the switch, it will not try to go to it's native interface (data). Instead I would like the string to redirect phones to vlan 2. However, I can't seem to find out any information on how to create the string itself. Does anyone have such information?

Hi f3liC

Attached is a document with example for 6739i but apply for all 68xxi phones too (in vendor class, replace 6739i with 6865i). Together with this document, try to find release notes for Aastra firmware (Google) (eg. aastra IP phone admin guide...). There you will find detailed instructions about DHCP options...
Good Luck...

Thanks for the document!

That was exactly the information I was looking for. We were able to implement vlan tagging correctly.
