Can anybody help me at all.

I have an XP machine that has just been used on a training course. I have taken the v4 user apps off and when i have gone to put them back on it says it has done it but it hasnt. This was working until i took the user apps off. I have gone to put the exact same version back on.

I have admin rights. If i look in add/remove there is an entry for the user suite once installed but its size is 0.01. All the install has done is created a text file in c:/progfiles etc avaya/phonemanager, a verbose file,(if that means anything to anybody) it seems to suggest that i have violated a local security policy even though there isnt one on that machine, it isnt part of a domain.

If i look in the error log i get an MSI error 11720 that tells me a script file could not be completed and also it mention an invalid root in a registry key, current user/avaya/installinfo which does exist, there is some soft console info in there.

I have downloaded the user cd again and tried in on my laptop which worked fine, this cd still doesnt work in this other machine.

If i install Soft console on the machine alone it works fine, PM, no joy.

Has anybody seen this before and can you make any suggestions as to why this wont work?
