Please help me get the configuration and routing flow right:

Analog trunk calls get routed to a VM hunt group ( say 7000) through the Trunk Service assignments. The 7000 has 7001, 7002, 7003, 7004 as VM ports members.

How do I proceed from here for single User VM configurations:

7000 VM HG --- record Primary greetings using the Admin Tool.
7001 - 7004 assigned as VM HG members
Q1. Is the recorded primary greetings on the VM HG 7000 auto copied to these members as well ?? or do you have to record on them individually ??
Q2. If I have 4 Analog trunks what is the minimum number of VM ports to assign

To Configure VM for User DN 3000 to 3100 ( 3000 as Operator )

Q3. Is this correct to transfer the external call to the USer's VM if NO Ans / Busy / DND
Extn #: Type: Extn:
0 Extension 0
3000 Extension 3000
3001 Extension 3001
3002 Extension 3002
etc etc
then call re-route to VM HG 7000
Q4. What COS or Parameters should I enable for the transfer to take place

I only have 4 VM ports and 8 user licenses.
Q5. Do I also include the VM ports 7001 to 7004 in the same format as above
Q6. Does it mean that I can only assign the 4 VM ports and 4 users ??
Q7. Should I also include the VM ports in the call re-routing ??

For MLAA options
Q8. Should I increase the number of VM ports
Q9. Do I need additonal licenses for each Option, say, for single Digit Option 1, 2,3 etc
Q10. If an option is directed to a Department , do I also need to record on unique DN for each
Q11. What is meant by "diallable " DN or Group numbers. How do I make or configure diabllable numbers.

etc etc

Answer question 1
to se wich record is asigned to the port go to Voice Mail> System Greetings> VM Greetings
there you see the ports and the greeting assigned default all ports have the primary set 1, so if you record this greeting you don't need to do it for each port
Question 2
Usually when you actívate your licenses they are a number of ports they are licenced you can see it in Voice Mail> System Settings> VM Port Capacity
that depends of the controller's (3300) type and usually with the ports provided is enough for the trunks you have
Question 3
I ca'nt understand the complet question but to assign a extensión to the VM 0 (operator) you have to open the VM 0 and put there the in the field extensión the number of the operator's ext.
Question 4
To forward the call to the extension's VM once you have already crated the VM for each extensión, you have to go to Call Routing> Call Handling> Call Rerouting First Alternatives
you have to create in the option 2 with all fields in value this in directory number 7000 (VM HG), after that you have to asign this profile (2) in:
Call Routing> Call Handling> Call Rerouting
There you have to search the extensions with VM an the assign the profile (2) in call rerouting first alternatives
Question 5 and 6
The VM ports and the User VM are diferent things and the licences for each one are diferent to in this particular case the 8 licences are for eigth extensions
Question 7
No you dont have to move anything in the ports leave they as default
Question 8
Yes
Question 9
Yes
Question 10
Yes
Question 11
???

Question 2

This depends upon the system and the dsp resources, checking the tech handbook will let you know how many you can have. This is in regards to the embedded vm. Nupoint is a licensed amount. Regardless of need, make all you can available. May need them for something else in the future.

Question? 8 mailbox licenses?

I would avoid MLAA if possible, the way to handle operator can be tricky..I usually set it as transfer only and send it to a speedcall. Not knowing the operator station equipment makes a=it harder to say what to do

Am using EVM with 4 VM ports, 8 VM licenses and a 5324 IP phone + PKM for the Operator. MY question here is :

Q1..how many simultaneous analogue trunk calls can a VM port handle because I also want to use them for MLAA greetings for departments as follows:

VM port 1( as the only member of the VM Hunt grp ) for the Primary greetings that plays when analog trunks calls are received
VM port 2 for MLAA greetings for Sales Dept,
VM port 3 for Tech Support and
VM port 4 for HR dept.

Q2. Do these VM ports need their individual VM Hunt grps to record their respective departmental greetings

Q3. do I consume any of the 8 VM licenses for using the MLAA ??

Q1
In fact the system can handle 4 simultaneous calls but this is relative because the lines are used to plece outbound calls to, and the time the port is used is only the seconds while the system transfers the calls and the port is again idle to take another call, there is a formula to follow to make the calculation it is in the enginiering guidelines

Q2 & Q3
All ports they have to be in the same HG (7000)with primary greeting, once you record the greeting, where you play the options of the MLAA 1, 2(sales), 3 (tech support), 3 (HR), 4 etc
you have to create their VM 1, 2, 3... {here is when you use the VM licences, one for ech option(MLAA level)} in the extensión field the extension where the call has to be tranfer, and then you have to personalize each MLAA VM (1,2,3...) with their name (sales, tech support, HR, etc) and then make their respective test calls, good luck!!!

You should tell us your controller type, software version would also be nice. Like I said, amount of ports depends on several factors. The current CX II and CXi II can go to 16 IIRC. Older CX and CXi base system are 4 without additional dsp resources
