Can I insert a FLASH into the string of an AA Selector Code so the caller can be Centrex transferred to a remote External number.

When i set up the AA selector code 5 for external dialing and entered the Dest. number I could not insert a flash. The LINK volume was so low that that LINK transfer was useless. The two parties could not hear each other.

I woudl like to either FLASH dial then flash again. Or best of all woudl be a FLASH, DIAL, DROP so a Centrex transfer can take place.

You can do it. I believe 4.1 (vm s/w level is required)....in fact, I did it today. Under whatever menu, the 'daughter' path should be an external transfer. You have to insert a # before the number to generate a flash for Centrex. Conferences in the Norstar stink, but letting the C.O. do it (via Centrex xfer)is the way to go.

If I understand you correctly when I see Dest. I enter the following

# ( for a c/o flash ) + 555-1212

How will I let the NAM know when to let go of the call and let the C/O support the call at the point or will it drop once it has diald the number?

I believe we have a 4.0 NAM. After I entered the number I saw the word ADD above the softkey. When I touched ADD it added a "P" which I assume meand PAUSE. IS this ADD key used for anything else?

You got it. Define pool as '1' for pool a, '2' for pool b. I don't know if you can do it with 4.0 or not.....All the NAM's the State of Illinois uses are 4.1's. Maybe someone else can chime in here. The only other thing to check......the set up & ops guide insists the Norstar trunks you are using have supervision 'yes'. As far as disco'ing the call, I believe it is an unscreened transfer and that is what the supervision is for.......

I was able to get Outbound Transfer via a MB to work jus fine. Seems like they have it set up so if # is entered before the number it means a Centrex Transfer is being indicated so after dialing it drops the C/O line allowing for a transfer to be complete.

Volume is perfect. Now if Partner Mail could be this simple I wouldbe happy but Partner does not offer Centrex transfer froma MB.

In the Out dial what do you put / line/pool/route/ for centrex lines.

Pool. WHen programming wait for the voice prompts to tell you how toenter a #. It is actually a 5 followed by adding more digits. Kinda strange but it works just fine.
