AA and dialing extension

Hi all

I have a problem with AA and BCM 200.
When it says the greeting recorded,
" Thank you for calling xyz, if you know the extension of the party you want to reach, dial it now, press # for company directory", and if someone dials the extension ex. 5555, it transfer to the correct DN, rings and after 6 rings, or as many it is set in the settings, it goes to voicemail, but it doesnt say the greeting in the voicemail.
I checked and it goes to the correct voicemail, because after the call i checked the voicemail, and it gave the message i left.
When user uses the company directory in order to find the specific person, it goes to the voicemail and it says the voicemail greeting.

What can be the problem, why when a customer dials extension it forwards to the correct DN, but it doesnt say the VM greeting recorded for that specific DN?

Should get it - greeting either way. Have you done a reboot.

I have done a reboot and no patches so far.

This problem happens after i decided to put the extension in a hunt group, this started to happen.
Afterwards, i removed it from the hunt group but no luck, still the same problem.

In the case when they can not hear the greeting, they can only hear beep.

I know that it should receive the greeting in each way, but i dont know what happend. It is possible that i joined the extension to a hunt, or maybe something else.

Any other help I appreciate.
 
I've seen that when people record their personal greeting where they are supposed to be just recording their name.

yes me too, but it has a greeting, because it is played when it goes true the company directory.

I dont know why this is happening, through company directory goes good, but if they dial the extension, it does not show anything. I will check one more time to see about the greeting, but i am 100% sure that it is recorded.
 
I still think people are recording their greeting where their name should be.

In the company directory you're supposed get the NAME, not the GREETING. Once you hear the name the AA then responds with,
"To accept this selection press # sign." If you press # sign the call is transferred to the extension.

No, in the company directory it says only the name and when you select that it is the correct one, than it transfers to the extension of the specific person, and after 6 rings, it goes to voicemail and the greeting is played.

When you dial the extension directly without going to the Company Directory, it does not give the greeting recorded.
 
If you forward the extension to vm do callers hear the greeting when they dial the extension from aa?
 

Does it do it on all sets?
You definitely need to install all the latest patches.
 
Do us a favor.. From a phone on the system press feature 980 and type in a valid mailbox number and press OK (use a voicemail that you tested with dialing from the AA), listen to the voicemail prompt. Does it match what you hear from the AA? If so, have the user re-record their voicemail greeting and try again.
