a7n8x-e Deluxe FX5900 slow boot

Whenever I put in my xfx 5900xt video card, windows will get past the scrolling bar stage, and right before it gets to the logon page it will sit at a black screen for about 10 minutes. I put in a pci video card and it boots right up. I have all the latest drivers for everything, and newest bios settings. This is on a fresh install of windows xp. When xp was installing, it would demonstrate this same 10 minute boot after it finished copying over the files and has to reboot to go to the gui install. Bios settings are defualt. Any ideas?

I had to have NVstart enable in msconfig for windows to load properly. Apperantly this loads the drivers for windows to find, and without it windows would take forever to find the driver.
