Hello again folks. With the help of people on this site I've managed to connect three A1000s to a V480, and set up RAID 5 filesystems on two of them. I'm now tying to set up the other array with mirroring. Basically it's a full twelve-36 Gb disk array (c4t0d0). I've tried using raidutil to set up 1+0 RAID, but when I come to newfs the filesystems on the disk I'm getting errors that the magic number is wrong. Changing the number doesn't seem to work either. Does anyone have any pointers as to the best way to mirror these disks, please? TIA (again!).

Hi Ken

What for an A1000 configuration have you select? Daisy Chained?
Have you labled the LUN's?

You can do the following:

Reset the old configuration in A1000

1. Power the A1000 down and power system down

2. Remove all of the drvies but the first one (far left)

3. Remove the battery unit from the back

4. Wait at leat 60 seconds and put battery back in

5. Power unit on and bring system up

6. start rm6

7. Plug drives in one at a time, waiting about 10 seconds between each
